It is on this woorksheet and only this worksheet where you should change the player names.  When a name is changed in column A it changes in the entire workbook.  Do not make name changes on any other worksheet.

I used '=' assignment operator to pull the value of another cell in Excel. For example, the following formula will get the value from Cell B3 and display in Cell k3. You can enter =C6 in Range k3.
